2012 Guest Judge – Rob Geddes

Rob has had a unique range of experience in wine and wine promotions.

Rob is Australia’s third Master of Wine.

He ran the communications program for the South Australian Wine & Brandy producers during the 1980’s principally aimed at the general public.

From 1991 to 1993 he was the inaugural Public Relations Executive for the Riverina Wine Region, where he developed and implemented their regional PR program on a National and International basis.

1993 to 2001 he was the marketing executive in charge of the USA and Asia for Rosemount Estate and oversaw the launch of many new wines for Rosemount in the Orange and Mudgee regions.
He was part of the team responsible for development of the Rosemount label during this period.

In 2000 he was the Chairman of the NSW stand at Wine Australia.

2003 to 2008 he was the Managing Director of Winestream which gave him a large amount of marketing and PR experience with a wide variety of vineyard operations and regional bodies.
