Results for the 5th New England Regional Wine Show
A successful 5th New England Regional Wine Show has been held and the results are now available.
The 6th New England Regional Wine Show will be held in Glen Innes in mid October 2010.

The New England area is unlike any other grape growing region in Australia. This is due the region's diversity from high altitude (with a good number of vineyards above 1,000m), cool climate vineyards along the spine of the Great Dividing Range to the lower and warmer sites on the western edges of the New England Tablelands.
In 2007 our Show moved to become a Regional Wine Show to allow us to focus on the wine styles evolving from our region and assist our vignerons & winemakers to enhance these emerging styles. Adding to this educational theme, this year's Show will also include a Gewurztraminer Masterclass which will compare the best examples of wines from this variety and comparable terroirs in Australia & around the world.
Winemakers from adjacent viticultural areas will also be invited to exhibit at the New England Regional Wine Show. These adjacent areas are Northern Rivers, Hastings, Namoi Valley, Northern Slopes outside New England, Western Plains, Granite Belt and the Tamworth area.

We invite all vignerons & winemakers making wines using grapes from these areas to exhibit at the 2010 New England Regional Wine Show. This will be a great opportunity to see the high standard of the local wines and compare them to wines from the other invited regions.
Dates for submitting entry forms for 2010 will be available soon. The wines will be judged in October 2010.
